Steampunk artists craft miniature motorcycles, complete with riders, using old watch parts

A Toronto, Canada resident, Dan Tanenbaum has been collecting parts of vintage watches for quite some time now. It was through this hobby of accruing vintage timepieces that Dan came upon his  true passion: crafting miniature motorcycles from old watch parts. Since 2010, Dan has sculpted several such Steampunk-inspired pieces, and has indeed become quite famous while doing so.

As part of a recent Watch Parts Motorcycles project, Dan has joined hands with two well-known Steampunk artists – Justin Gershenson-Gates and Sue Beatrice – to create some very impressive, albeit unusual, artwork. The trio has designed a series of incredibly detailed and realistic riders for Dan’s miniature motorcycles. The sculptures have been developed entirely with help of vintage watch parts.
