Our tryst with the Flintstones isn’t over by a long stretch. Last time around, we talked about the incredible Malibu property of the late Dick Clark that aptly replicated the ‘modern stone age’. And now, another Bedrock-inspired house (in Park Ridge, Illinois) has gloriously made its entry into the real estate market – with its familiar stone facades that takes us for a trip down the memory lane of yesteryear cartoons.
However, unlike the aforementioned Dick Clark house, the Park Ridge Flintstones House boasts of more practical ornamentation. Supposedly designed by one Sal Balsamo, the facades goes beyond the realm of sheer cartoon-inspired fantasy to cater to a more accessible scope. As a result, we can see open spaces and glass facades lined with curved stone-tiled walls (as opposed to whole-stone facades), tray ceilings and marble/granite flooring.
The peculiar ‘piece de resistance’ would however pertain to one of the humongous living rooms that is entirely draped in white fur carpet to quench your (or the Fred Flinstone inside you) thirst for that retro 60’s feel.
So, if you interested in this proposition, you will have to shell out $1,150,000 for the 4,000 sq ft property – which does include the 3 bedrooms and the 3 bathrooms, all furnished in a premium fashion. For more details check out the listing at Estately.
