Brian Conti’s bottleLoft: An innovative solution for all your refrigerator-space woes

Has your refrigerator suddenly become too small to store all of your food? Well, fret no more. North Carolina-based product designer Brian Conti has come up with a simple, yet innovative, solution for all your fridge-space woes. The new bottleLoft, supposedly the “world’s first magnetic bottle hanger”, frees up some of the available space by hanging your bottled beverages from the refrigerator ceiling.    bottleloft_6Crowding your fridge with 6-pack or 12-pack of your favorite beverages usually leaves very little room for the storage of other essentials, including leftovers. That is where bottleLoft comes in handy. It offers a hassle-free way of magnetically hanging your beer bottles, and even tin cans and jars with metal caps, out of the way.

bottleloft_3The 8″ x 1.5″ x 0.3″ contraption consists of 8 basic parts, grouped into 4 different types. The device comes fitted with three custom-shaped, grade N52 neodymium magnets, with the capacity to hold up to 4.8 lbs. Although most 12 oz. beer bottles weigh only about 1.2lbs, the extra strength of the magnets provides better grasp. Additionally, the three specially-designed steel cups help concentrate the magnetic power more efficiently.

bottleloft_4The injection-molded plastic base is attached to the roof of the refrigerator by means of 3M VHB tape, which in turn ensures proper adhesion even at low temperatures. An alcohol-based cleaning pad is also provided, so as to remove any dirt from the adhesion surface.

bottleloft_5The product is currently undergoing an immensely successful Kickstarter campaign, with an end goal of $20,000. Prices start at $20, for a single strip of bottleLoft.
