Given the rate at which science and technology have been advancing in recent years, one cannot help but wonder what the future might look like. For those who are curious, Russian digital artist and graphic designer, Evgeny Kazantsev, has released a collection of images that provides a sneak peek into the upcoming years.
The illustrations offer a startlingly realistic, yet remarkable portrayal of a future marked, most notably, by its impressive technological, engineering and architectural feats. Instead of providing a dystopian and melancholy vision of the future, the artist paints the picture of a world where there is seamless integration of advanced technologies into every aspect of human life. Known as ‘Past in the Future’, the series depicts the harmonious juxtaposition of real world locations with objects of the future.
From giant flying drones that deliver cargo to ships to soaring superstructure built on the surface of the moon, the world, foreseen by Evgeny Kazantsev, is somewhat akin to paradise itself.
