DIYer creates a 37 cubic ft replica of the Starship Enterprise with 18,000 LEGO bricks

A few days ago, we talked about Alice Finch’s fantastical diorama of the Hogwarts in a whopping 400,000 LEGO bricks. Well, this time around, expansiveness makes way for precision, and the glorious end-result is the jagged-free Starship Enterprise made from more than 18,000 LEGO bricks by DIYer Chris Melby.

If you are interested in the size of this wondrous creation, the LEGO Starship Enterprise is 68 inches long, 29 inches wide and boasts of a height of 32 inches – thus accounting for a total volume of 63,104 cubic inches (or 37 cubic ft). Now add precision and structural integrity to the mix, and voila – we have an impressive specimen of a Star Trek-inspired replica that entices us with its stud-free details and bewilders us with its imposing bearing.
