When it comes to the incredible realm of LEGO creations, we have been witness to quite a few grandiose creations – ranging from the precisely detailed Hogwarts to the robustly imposing Death Star. However, the above pictured Porsche 911 RSR certainly takes the cake when it comes to vehicular conceptions. Interestingly, only half of the automobile is recreated in the LEGO bricks, while the other half sticks to conventionality. In essence, this arrangement provides the viewer with a visual juxtaposition of reality and ‘pixelated’ wonderment.
Anyhow, beyond the aesthetic enticement, the LEGO creation (showcased at the 24 Hours of Le Mans) was crafted from a whopping 380,000 LEGO bricks. When translated to time, it took the design team from Lego Group around 633 hours (or more than 26 days) to complete the entire conception. And of course – the fascinating end results are there to see, with the crazy details being demonstrated by various components of the LEGO-half (and mirrored by the other metallic-half of the car). These include the intricacies of the hood pins, overall gradient, the fenders, rear spoilers and even the decals of the Porsche 911 RSR.
