Who doesn’t like bagels? Filled with yeasty goodness, these not-so-tiny sweet treats can lift your mood on a bad day. So how about a bit more color? Brooklyn’s The Bagel Store is whipping up some of the most colorful bagels you will ever come across. Baker Scott Rossillo has been creating these vibrant desserts for the last 20 years, via what seems to be an intricate, time-consuming process.
In the five hours that it takes to make around 1,000 regular bagels, Rossillo manages to bake only 100 of these rainbow-colored ones. After the basic dough has been made, the baker moves on to dyeing, layering and shaping the individual bagels, which are then popped into the oven. Once completely baked, the ring-shaped bread rolls are slathered with delicious cream cheese toppings of different flavors, such as Nutella, cannoli cream, funfetti and others.
The Bagel Store boasts a range of delectable products, including Cotton Candy bagels and special Valentine’s Day bagels. Sport fans can choose from the Denver Broncos bagels, the Carolina Panthers bagels and many others. To order these mouth-watering sweet treats, click here.
